Matt Becker has built a career on helping others create greater success and achieve significance in their personal and professional lives for 25 years.  He joined Guident Business Solutions as a partner in 2024, adding to Guident's expertise in helping business owners identify operational solutions to business 'pain points' using financial analysis to improve owner equity and overall company profitability.  He specializes in working with business owners to improve their 'people operations' through the entire employee life cycle with an emphasis on creating greater workplace satisfaction at all levels to impact overall profitability.  Passionate about growing leaders within an organization, he strives to elevate individuals to motivate performance – in all spheres of impact, he is most satisfied seeing people flourish as they grow, learn, and succeed.

Matt comes to Guident with a background in learning and growth, training, and Human Resource management. He brings professional experience in learning and training models, strategic planning, change management processes, leadership development, coaching, and mentoring.  With a lifelong background in diverse business sectors, including healthcare and human services, hospitality and food service, landscaping, trades industries, and education he possesses an empathy for the unique concerns facing leaders across business sectors. 

Matt has cultivated a strong foundation in learning and training roles, particularly working with the Wisconsin Technical College System in career pathways instruction to elevate opportunities for and the esteem of trades careers as a strong option for young adults. Most recently, he served as the Human Resources Director at Green Lake Conference Center.

He is skilled at conducting training sessions, facilitating workshops, and delivering presentations for groups of any size, along with planning, hosting, and facilitating staff retreats.

Gary Vaughan has shown a passion for helping business owners through his work as a consultant, where he works with top-tier management to grow shareholders’ equity. He launched Guident Business Solutions, LLC, a management and consulting firm, in 2009. He specializes in improving financial results through an increased understanding of financial statements and organizational efficiencies. 

Gary has management experience in several industries including retail, petroleum, and manufacturing. He has been a partner in a manufacturing firm where he was responsible for financials, administration, human resources, and safety compliance. Gary has held a profession in human resources (PHR) certification through SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management.

Gary has held the position of associate director of an Entrepreneurship Center at Fox Valley Technical College. He joined Concordia University Wisconsin in 2003, where he taught both undergrad and graduate courses, including MBA courses in Corporate Finance and Strategic Management. In 2009, he joined the faculty of Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin as a lecturer in economics and the coordinator of their Innovation and Entrepreneurship Interdisciplinary Area.  In August of 2023, Gary officially retired from full-time instruction as lecturer of innovation and entrepreneurship at Lawrence University to dedicate his time training today’s workforce in leadership and financial literacy as part of an individual’s profession growth plan within organizations.
